I think I’ve finally recovred enough to sit down in front of a computer again. Wednesday night was most druken. Traditionally on your birthday the guys do a yard of ale and the girls do a paddle. A paddle is 6 shots one after another in the time it takes to sing the college song. I was already nicely pissed by 10:30 when they presented me with mine:

Shot 1: Absolut Peppar
Shot 2: Absolut Citron
Shot 3: Sambuca
Shot 4: White tequila
Shot 5: Kirsch
Shot 6: Cinammon Aftershock

Needless to say i was very ill and had to be carried back to my room by one of the security guards and a mate, with my college mum cursing everybody whilst trying to look after me. The rest is a drunken haze. All in all a good night I feel!

So I pitched up the next day at the union for a cup of tea and a chat with my mate Becky who unfortunately had had to waork and therefore missed the birthday revelries. Having heard all about the night before the first thing she asked me was “Why aren’t you dead?!”, the next was general comments about my perkiness
We had the feast on thursday which was yummy though i avoided most of the alcohol, just a glass of champagne, glass of wine and a glass of port, didn’t want to over do it! Yesterday was spent sitting in the union, drinking copious amounts of tea and working on an assignment whilst laughing at all the people stuck out in the snow. We then ate coco pops out of giant wine glasses (classy eh?!) and watched the brilliance that is Finding Nemo.

Snow by the way is abundant. We had about 4 inches of it this morning and it’s still going. The castle and Cathedral look absolutely stunning. It’s at times like this i realise how lucky i am
And on that note I’m gonna go beat my husband in a snowball fight, or at least attempt to!

…she falls flat on her face and watches the ball roll away. Yes, I finally took the plunge and confessed to Mr Director that I really still quite liked him etc (you know, as ya do). I was then hit with the reply that he’s just better off on his own, it’s the way he works. But he will always be my friend. Ouch. The floor hurts when you land on it hard.

Never mind, I’m sure I can find someway to enjoy myself without him (that sounds so dodgy!) So lined up for this week:

Monday - Big Band Gig (watching not singing)
Tuesday - Formal and then Salsa (in nice flat shoes!)
Wednesday - a night of lash
Thursday - College Feast (it’s black tie… so posh)
Friday - general lashage as a recovery from the rest of the week!

In between all that I really ought to fit some work in. Luckily for me though my lectures are cancelled on tuesday and wednesday due to the lectures going on strike. Which means I can get my work done, have a hair cut and still party! It’s looking to be a good week me thinks.

So now I’m off to go finish the wonder of my first order logic summative assignment (in other words stare at it and cry). Snowy Durham beckons

Not much has been happening to me lately. I thiknk it could well be the calm before the storm! Although, the other night my roomie did wake me up at 2:30am to inform me that i wasn’t to worry and she wasn’t going to have sex with the guy who was lying in her bed. In fact, she wasn’t going to do anything at all, much to the disappointment of said guy! It made for an amusing interlude although unfortunately it meant i couldn’t get to sleep again. This was doubled when it sounded like I had two express trains in the next bed. So out came the headphones and on came radio 2.

Apologies for not writing much recently but i’ve been up to my eyeballs in assignments. Having gotten the majority of them out of the way i can take stock and reflect on the wonder that was my weekend.

Friday night was a “Grease” ent in the bar. Unfortunately I was working that night so I duley donned the polka dots and flicked hair and away I went. It was actually surprisingly good fun. It’s amazing how many people know how to hand jive and worse, how many people know the whole routine from the film! I however stayed behind the bar where we grooved along whilst pulling pints. Though seeing 4 bar staff dancing to cotton eye joe must’ve been a bit scary from the outside!

This then brings us to Saturday which, as I’m sure you are all very aware, is that most wonderful of days… Valentines day.

I can’t feel my toes or thighs. 2 hours is more than enough for anybody! But i did come bounce on the bouncy castle afterwards… twas much fun!

Having had a wonderfully rested weekend I’m back in the chaos that is university life. Even as I sit here the raucous cries and yelps of students on a bouncy castle waft up to the window… it’s a 24hr bounce apparently.

So yes, I’m back. I doubt you missed me but never mind. Unfortunately having been away all weekend I have nothing of real intrest to say. Though I did find out that it was a most interesting weekend to have missed. Something about roman catholic priests and phone numbers and arse pinching… hmmm.

Anyhoo, I’m off to formal AND salsa tonight so I shall endeavour to find something (anything really) to post.

As a quick update with Mr Director not much is happening but we’ve fallen back into our tea habits. But depending what happens then I may or may not boycott saturday night. Who knows? A lot can happen in 4 days!

On a much lighter note I have just discovered that I’m the number one search on google for Lemur Girl! I’m so proud… especially asit brings up my post about pierced eyeballs and tattooed pubes!

Rob dearest, it’s not hard to be better than neighbours. However, when my life finally surpasses the sheer genius that is Doctors (BBC1) then I know I’m doing something right!

Was just a quicky today to see how my life is progressing without me (that does make sense… honest!) I’m off now to Logic *shudder* and then formal tonight.

One last note. People tend to find out about your past anyway so why not make a huge chunk of it easier to research?! Just a thought
