Yay! Contact!

My boy called! yay! yay! yay!!! This makes me a very very very happy lemur.

I miss him totally, I really do. But it’s not long til we’re together again. I can’t wait til we’re in each others arms, just where we belong. I didn’t think it was possible to miss one person so much, but he proved me wrong. Just hearing his voice again made everything hurt insdide because we’re not together.

Yes, another soppy post… but I’m past caring. I want my boy and i want him now dammit!

December 21, 2005

um… hello… oh you want me to say something? right…

I’m home yes, but how to start with an update? to be honest, I’m not too sure. I could bore you with details of my journey, of my last night in Durham (which was bloody hysterical… love ya Cozi-Bean!) or things that I’ve been doing since I got back (not a lot).

The journey was long.
My last night was carnage.
I’ve put up the Christmas tree, started work and attempted Christmas shopping.

Well that summed it all up rather nicely me thinks.

The one highlight of my coming home was that I got to see The Boy. He met me at Kings Cross, presented me with a little toy cat (who is so so so SO cute!), bought me lunch and then sent me on my way to Gatwick. It was only a couple of hours together but it was fantastic. I miss him so much when we’re not together.

Speaking of which, he’s currently off in the British Virgin Isles (as ya do) and so we’re not in contact at all. It feels really weird not being able to talk to him or send him any means of communication. I don’t like it… not one little bit.

Yes I miss him, I miss him terribly. It does feel like part of me vanishes whenever we’re not together. But I know I get to see him again soon. I just wish he could spend Christmas here. Meet my family, get to know them, allow them to love him as much as I do. Ok, so I’m gushing. gimme a break, this is my blog ok?!

I think I ought to go to bed. to have another sleepless night. *sigh* being in love can really have its downsides sometimes.

That Time Of Year Again…

I thought I’d do this meme again as it’s a fairly good way of summing up my year. You take the first sentence from each month you’ve posted… oh you get the drift!

February
It’s been a while.

March

August
Cobby is going through a bit of a rough patch at the mo so please send loving thoughts and hugs her way.

September
I’ve got a restless feeling inside me.

October
Just a quick one today as I’ve got lots to do.

November
I went to check my e-mail today (as you do) and got very excited by the prospect of somebody offering me a massive courgette distribution.

December
As promised I now have a wee update for you.

Hmm, doesn’t seem like the most exciting of years but it has been! Honest! I’m going away now, yes. Term ends tomorrow and I have stuff to do like pack, and do my washing up, and make sure everything is organised, and get nice and drunk… Oh and go to my lecture of course.

But I get to see The Boy on Thursday! Woo!

e-mail meme type thingy

Thought I’d do this here rather tham e-mail it again. If you want to do it, change all of the answers so that they apply to you and put it in the comments.
The theory is that you will learn a lot of little known facts about everybody else. Exciting no? Yes well, I’m bored.

Alexandra after Princess Alexandra, Susan after my Aunt and Elizabeth after my great grandmother I think.

3. Do you wish on stars?
Yes, I’m silly and romantic like that.

4. When did you last cry?
Last night. Was having an emotional day.

5. Do you like your hand writing?

6. What is your favourite meat?
Red meat definitely! Probably a fabulous fillet steak cooked on the blue side of rare… nyam!

I have yes. But i was very very drunk. And i felt incredibly guilty. And I’m still apologising for it.

11. How do you release anger?
I tend to scream. Or hit something soft so i don’t damage myself. Or burst into angry tears.

The flat where The Boy is, I spend an awful lot of time there!

13. Do you trust others easily?
Unfortunately yes.

Yes, oh yes!!! Tell me where!

19. Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?
Yep, and it’s always the right foot first. Same as when I put them on.

December 6, 2005

Has anybody seen the Grinch? I think I could be his apprentice…

I’m not feeling particularly festive. Not right now. Not here in Durham. Don’t get me wrong, the weekend I just had was one of the most festive tiems in a while (will tell you all about that one later, need to coordinate with The Boy. Joint entry! Woo!) but up here it just feels… wrong.

I love Chrismtas usually. It’s a massive excuse for me to be even more childish than I normally am. I love it when the the Christmas lights go up, making the evening sparkle with promise and happiness. I love seeing all the people with bags crammed of shopping, even if they do slam it in to my legs. I love seeing children getting all excited at the prospect of visiting Father Christmas (no I won’t call him Santa…), their eyes lighting up and their cheeks all rosy. I love wrappin presents and opening Chirstmas cards. I love decorating the Christmas tree and seeing it in all it’s shiny glory. And I absolutely adore getting all wrapped up, eating roasted chestnuts and gazing into the sky to see if we’ll get that ever promised snow.

December is a month that is normally akin to heaven.

But not this time. It was the Christmas ent at college tonight. Everybody had dressed up, been to formal, looked really festive, and there was me in jeans and a rugby shirt. Hardly mademoiselle noel. No matter how long I stood there, surrounded by all this cheer, it didn’t affect me. Christmas spirit just washed over and around me, and I stood there like a humbug in the flow. The most Christmassy I have gotten is a wee bit of tinsel round my door. Coming home even that looked folorn, as if it had been forgotten.

I don’t know where my Christmas cheer has gone, but it’s certainly not here now. I just want to get away from this place, and maybe never come back. I feel as if I don’t belong here anymore. But that’s a different story.

Here’s hoping my festive spirit finds it’s way back to me by the time I go home. I don’t want to be down on one of my favourite days of the year.

Promised Update

As promised I now have a wee update for you. Courtesy of The Boy putting up all his pics I can bring you the wonder that was Ladies Night. (This is gonna be a mainly picture based post as I’m feeling tired and I’ll let them speak for themselves)

Greg & I.jpg

This one was taken up on the Norman Gallery during the champagne reception. There was an official photographer and we’re getting some of those as well, but I think this one captures the moment quite well. Look how nicely we managed to coordinate!

Greg & I 2.jpg

During the dinner. A “take it yourself” shot, which didn’t turn out all squinty eyed and blurry. The dinner itself was absolutely gorgeous. I don’t think I’ve eaten so much in my life! I’m just glad I didn’t try to eat anything BEFORE he laced me in to my top :)
Me looking fab.jpg

Me, in all my glory. Not bad eh?

The Boy!.jpg

My gorgeous boy. I love him so much, especially in black tie! Yummy!

Cozi & Greg.jpg

Cozi-bean and the boy. After her stressed arrival at my room I don’t think we did too shabby a job in making her look all beautiful :)
Cozi & I.jpg

This is the two os us up on the gallery. My bestest gilr looking absolutely wonderful. Any guy would be a fool not to want her me thinks.

Wife & I.jpg

You know I had a college husband at one point? Well now I have a wife, and here she is.

Emma & I.jpg

We also have at least 2 adoptive daughters (I’ve lost count!) and this is me with one of them. In the bar. Looking a wee bit worse for wear!

Giggly wife.jpg

Finally, my wife having a major giggling fit over the dinner table. We have no idea what was so funny but she just cracked up and couldn’t stop laughing! It amused us.

So there you have it. A beautiful evening summed up in pictures. We ate, drank and were very merry. It makes me all the more excited for the June Ball.. White Tie Baby!!! Woo!

Now I must away to my bed. Enjoy the pics all.

Nighty night :)
